Cross Country road trip
In about 2 months I'll be starting my cross country road trip that will take me from Denver to the Northwest down to Tahoe through Death Valley in to Utah, then ending in Florida. It looks like I'll be doing about 7000 miles in 5 weeks and taking photos along the way. I'll be posting some sneak peaks here first before I get them anywhere else, so keep checking back.

Colorado Sand Dunes
Well I just came back from a great trip at the Colorado Sand Dunes. the weather wasn't quite what i was looking for, but did make for some great photos. Sunrises lasted only about ten minutes before the sun disappeared behind the clouds and sunsets were none existent. However on the second day, I woke up to 2 inches of snow covering the dunes. Having to hike 2 hours into the dunes before I set up my tent the snow made for a great backdrop and also showed me that more wildlife than I thought traveled through those dunes throughout the night.
I have some photos on facebook but will be uploading some others in this blog within the next day. So stay tuned.

A fun day of cross country skiing

A little while ago, I went to do a cross country ski trip and ended up in some seriously windy weather. I'll have to go back and try it again. Winter time is great but spring time this location is supposed to have amazing scenery, I can't wait to back to find out.

Project Simplify
So my next project is about to begin and I am a little nervous but excited at the same time.
I have always wanted to simplify my life. Less need for material things and more time for me and the outdoors. Sunday the 13th, starts my little experiment in which i am putting everything in storage, moving out of my apartment and camping for six months. I still will have to keep my day job and work as I do now, but will have no apartment or comfy bed to call my own.
I'll be mixing my nights up with camping, car camping, and if need be staying at a friends house if it gets too cold out. As I found out last week, -20 will be limit, anything above that and I'm ok.
I believe it will take about 2 or 3 weeks to get settled in to a routine where I feel comfortable accepting the luxuries I have right now.
I'll try to post once a week to keep everyone updated on the progress and struggles I may encounter through this journey as well as trying to do a photo documentary out of this whole thing. I Hope you enjoy following my adventure keep following me all the way through it.
