Buena Vista getaway

My girlfriend and I just spent a fabulous 2 days at a bed and breakfast in Buena Vista, CO. The Bed and Breakfast was unique because it was a green building (supplies it's own power) and the views were great. Got a chance to explore some of the canyons in the collegiate mountains and had some fun playing in the snow.

Can't wait to go back and visit in the spring. I found some fun backcountry to explore and some place for real good rock climbing.

Another fun day at the studio

Had a good fashion shoot at the studio today, and just found out that www.synergycharities.org will be using my photos for their website. So that is always good news. The studio we used today was a film studio normally for film and commercial work. They were filming a Red Robin commercial while I was there.

Cross Country Skiing in RMNP

Had a fun time in RMNP, had a sunrise with 10 Bull Elk around my car then did a little cross country skiing with friends on Trail Ridge road. After that we had a epic snowball battle at bear lake. Can't wait to go back up when there's more snow

Studio Time

Well just had my first session doing headshots in a studio environment. I have to say, I prefer outdoor and natural lighting, but it was fun to be able to play with the different lighting options. Here's a few photos from my shoot.

Mountain Biking, Wyoming

Well it's been a while since I posted anything. I have been updating my website and been a little busy. Sunday I'm heading up to Wyoming to try some new mountain biking trails with some friends. Hopefully the trails will be sick and I'll get some good shots. I just have to break myself away from riding and do some photography too. I'll post some photos next week.

Just got back from Wyoming, and except for some bad weather it was great up there. Friends and I went to Curt Gowdy State Park and found some incredible riding and some of the sketchiest stuff I have been on. Stone Temple Circuit is only a 5 mile trail, but the most fun trail i have been on. I'll definitely head back up for some better photos and more riding as long as the weather holds up, otherwise I'll wait to next spring.

Maroon Bells and Hanging Lake

I just came back from Aspen, CO, probably one the most beautiful mountain towns I have been too. It's like Beverly Hills meets the woods. Anyway, hiked up to maroon lake and camped at Crater lake and haven't been anything that sureal in a long time. I plan to go back in a month or so to catch the changing of colors. After a short stay in Aspen Iheaded back home but had to stop at Hanging Lake first. Located in the middle of Glenwood Canyon, you have to hike 1000 feet in 1 mile in order to reach it, but what a worth while hike. Prestine Water and clear as day. Right behind the lake you'll find Bridalveil Falls and spouting rock, not sure what is above spouting rock, but it's the source water for the lake. The waterfall come right out of the side of the cliff. hope you enjoy the photos, and I'll let you know when I am heading up there again.

Mountain State Cup Mountain Bike series

I just came back from a day at Keystone Resort in Colorado shooting the downhill division of the State Cup series. It was a great day for me. I got to visit Loveland Pass, and Keystone resort for the first time. It was also the first downhill Competition I have been able to go to. Ok, these guys are nuts. I love mountain biking and downhill, but not at the speed these guys and girls were going through the course. I was setting myself up to shoot this one drop on the course when a rider came flying by me and went head over heels with his bike into a tree. I had to pull the bike off the course and was bittersweet about missing the chance to photo the crash, but was glad the rider was ok. Well maybe, he was moaning and grabbing one leg, but got ion his bike and continued down the course. Photos will be up soon for this event.

Boulder Ironman

So just finished an early morning photo session for the Boulder Ironman. It's a bit different being on the other side of the event. Normally I am a competitor of adventure racing so being a spectator of a similar event was kind of nice. I could not believe how many people were competing, must have been a couple of hundred. It was a great day for the event, nice weather and not as hot as it has been the past few days. A bit earlier than I had wanted to get up, but I made it. Photos from the event will be up soon.

Pawnne National Grasslands

Just got back from a trip to Northeastern Colorado to see our Grasslands. I was hoping to do some cycling while I was out there but didn't realize the roads were gravel. Wildlife viewing was great, however I would recommend a 400mm lens or more if you want to do any wildlife photography. I was using a 200 and it was quite close enough, especially for the birds of prey. I'll have my photos posted on my website soon, but for now you can visit my facebook page to see the shots

New project

I am currently working on a new project to create three calendars and hopefully start talking to a national sports retailer on carrying them. It's still a work in progress, but will keep you updated as things move forward.
Right now it's been finding the drive to go photograph with being a hundred degrees during the day, but it looks like it is starting to cool down here in Denver.
